MISSION STATEMENT
Chisholm Trail RSVP, Inc. improves lives, strengthens
communities and fosters civic engagement through national
service programs (RSVP, AmeriCorps VISTA) and volunteering in
Denton County, Texas and surrounding communities.
RSVP meets the most
compelling community needs by recruiting individuals 55 and over
as volunteers and placing them in the following focus areas:
Education, Healthy Futures, Veterans and Military Families,
Environmental Stewardship, Economic Opportunity and Disaster
Services. RSVP volunteers share their time and talents with
Denton County nonprofit agencies such as :
Food Banks/Meals on Wheels, nonprofit daycare centers,
area public schools, crisis intervention agencies, county
hospitals and public libraries. RSVP volunteers unselfishly
offer their unique skills and life-time of experiences by
serving on boards and commissions, tutoring and mentoring,
educating new parents and family members on the importance of
lifesaving immunizations, visiting frail elderly, teaching ESL,
consulting, and ushering for theatres and museums. RSVP
Signature Programs include Rockin' Readers and Seniors for
Health Immunization Prevention Program (SHIPP). RSVP volunteers
greatly need your support to sustain and expand programs that
address identified community needs, such as the one's listed
above. Won't you support the efforts of Denton County's
largest force of volunteers?
