RSVP Golf Classic Set for May
“The Retired and Senior Volunteer program [RSVP] identifies and addresses issues impacting communities of Denton County and through volunteer service enhances the lives of older adult volunteers as well as those they serve.”
—RSVP Mission Statement
Barry Vermillion - Because of the beneficiary of their annual tournament, the RSVP Golf Classic has long been on the top of my favorite fundraising golf events. Maybe it is because I’m not getting any younger, but it is most likely because of the work the volunteers are performing daily for our fellow Denton County residents.
The 2008 Golf Classic tournament generated over $14,400 for RSVP to allow them to fulfill the needs of Denton County residents and organizations.
The 7th Annual Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Golf Classic has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Tour 18 in Flower Mound. The format will be a 4-player team scramble.
Tour 18 is known for the plush course conditions with 18 holes simulating America’s greatest golf holes including Augusta National’s Amen Corner.
Entry fee is $125 per golfer and includes green and cart fee, buffet lunch, and the opportunity to win on course contests prizes.
Registration and payment can be made with credit card and/or PayPal on the official Web site at www.rsvpgolfclassic.com. Team or single golfer registration will be confirmed when payment is received.
